At Neighbours Aid, we were excited by the opportunity to support The Hope Project, an initiative brought forth by Phildelphia Trust, an Indian NGO. Together, we are united in our mission to break the cycle of poverty in Vijayawada. Through tailoring training and literacy classes, we empower women for financial independence and exciting employment opportunities.
The Hope Project prioritise the well-being of vulnerable children, providing safe homes, quality education, and healthcare. We believe in nurturing their potential for a brighter future.
The Hope Project has made remarkable progress in healthcare education, operating a thriving nursing college with 187 dedicated students.
Recently, The Hope Project established Shalom Teaching Hospital outside Vijayawada, catering to thirty-two rural communities. This modern facility offers comprehensive medical care and serves as a home to our nursing college, merging education and healing. This teaching hospital opened with 150 nursing college students enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s degree in nursing. Shalom Teaching Hospital has a general ward, ICU, pharmacy, student accommodation and training facilities. In addition, 3 tailoring classes and 2 literacy classes enrolled over 100 illiterate tribal women, giving them opportunities to provide for their families.
We partner with Global Development Group to support Project J770.
